In addition to my work as a game developer, I like to maintain a positive presence at most industry events within New Zealand and Australia, as well as international events like GDC. Through this, I have grown a strong network of connections and professional industry relationships.
I am a regular speaker at conferences and often volunteer at events. I have volunteered at GCAP, Armageddon, as a Student Ambassador and I am serving on the board for this years NZGDC. I have been a Keynote speaker for Girls in Games, spoken at Play by Play for 2 years, at NZGDC and most recently at GDC.
My advocacy for mental health women and minorities in games has seen me listed as MVC Pacific's 30 Under 30 and Top 30 Women in Games for 2 years running.
I have previously worked as a freelance web and graphic designer and am experienced with HTML and CSS. This was extremely helpful when running marketing campaigns on social media, designing Steam pages and building websites. Doing our marketing has been one of the biggest learning experiences in my time as an independent developer, and one of the aspects of my job which I have enjoyed the most.
